User Permissions

Portal and System Administrators

At the highest level of your SobekCM system, users can be assigned as portal and system administrators. These users all share access to a number of tools within the main mySobek pages. However, some differences do exist between the capabilities of these two roles.

TASKS PORTAL ADMINS SYSTEM ADMINS NOTES
Aggregation Aliases view, add, edit view, add, edit, delete
Aggregation Management view, add, edit, delete view, add, edit, delete Only system admins can delete aggregations which still have digital resources attached
Builder Status view view, set System admins can set the builder status flag to temporarily suspend building
Default Metadata view, add, edit view, add, edit, delete Previously these were called 'Projects'
IP Restrictions view view, add, edit Ranges can't really be deleted, but they can be re-allocated
System-wide Settings view view, add, edit, delete Deleting settings only refers to custom settings
Thematic Headings view, add, edit, delete view, add, edit, delete
URL Portals view view, add, edit, delete
Users / Groups (view, edit) view, edit, reset password (Portal admin rights pending ongoing work)
Web Skins view, add, edit view, add, edit, delete
Wordmarks view, add, edit, delete view, add, edit, delete Currently noone can delete wordmarks still in use by digital resources
Reset Cache reset reset Resetting the cache clears the application-wide values and forces all new (non-session specific) settings to take affect
