SMaRT Tool : Newspapers without Serial Info

General

In our processing of newspapers over the last several years, it has not been uncommon to have newspaper volumes added to a title, without the corresponding publication date or serial hierarchy information. This report lists those newspapers titles which have one or more items which are lacking serial hierarchy information, and thus would not display correctly when looking at a volume list. This list is monitored routinely to ensure newspapers are getting serial hierarchy information.

This report includes only the Bibliographic identifier for the item group/title and the group title associated with that. The title will only display once, regardless of how many of the child items/volumes are missing serial hierarchy information.

Selecting a row in this report will launch the serial hierarchy form to allow the information to be entered or corrected.

Short of adding serial hierarchy information, there is no way to suppress titles from appearing on this list.
