Notes contain general textual information relating to a resource.¹

Notes are associated with note types, with each type representing a slightly different type of note. Below is a table with each note type, and the specific definition for that type of note.²

Attribution notes contain contract, grant, and project numbers when the material results from a funded project. Information concerning the sponsor or funding agency also may be included.
